Buyers Lab Announces Winners Of Its Spring 2005 Segment 3 & 4 Multifunctional "Pick of the Year" Awards

Hackensack (NJ) – BLI has announced the winners of its Spring 2005 “Pick” awards in the Segment 3 and Segment 4 categories.

The Sharp AR-M355N IMAGER is the winner for Segment 3, while in the Segment 4 category, two models were chosen—the Sharp AR-M455N IMAGER in the 45-ppm range and the Konica Minolta bizhub 7255 in the 55-ppm range.

“The Sharp AR-M355 and AR-M455 IMAGER are without a doubt among the most impressive models BLI has tested in any segment,” said Pete Emory, BLI’s manager of lab testing. “These Sharp models set the benchmark for ease of setup with their highly automated installation procedures, and they also offer excellent reliability, ease of use, multitasking and productivity.”

In commenting on these hard-earned awards, Mike Marusic, vice president of marketing for Sharp Document Solutions Company of America, said, “We are honored that BLI has once again selected our Segment 3 and 4 products as ‘Picks of the Year.’ For the past several years Sharp’s platform in this range has consistently won BLI ‘Pick’ recognition for being among the best in the market, and we look forward to continuing this string of awards into the future.” The predecessors to this year’s winners also were named as “Picks of the Year” in 2002 and as tested under an OEM label, in 2003.

The Konica Minolta bizhub 7255 was named a Spring 2005 “Pick” for its outstanding reliability and ease of use in addition to its very flexible paper-handling and finishing capabilities and for its very-well-designed PostScript drivers that enable easy building of complex jobs including printing onto tab extensions. “The Konica Minolta bizhub 7255 represents the latest enhancement of an extremely solid, tried-and-true engine that has been a favorite of BLI’s for years,” said Daria Hoffman, BLI’s managing editor.

“We are extremely proud that the Konica Minolta buzub 7255 has been chosen as a BLI Pick of the Year for Spring 2005,” said Mike Fego, manager, product marketing—production systems. “The bizhub 7255 is ideally positioned for mid-to high-volume workgroup and departmental printing, copying as well as scanning and distribution of documents over corporate networks,” added Fego.
