At PRINTING United 2022 last month, HP announced its latest family of wide format printing solutions: the HP Latex 2700 series. The company’s signature latex technology is at the core of these devices, which will enable print service providers (PSPs) to improve operational efficiency and meet the demand for high-margin jobs at accelerated production speeds. These new offerings run in tandem with the launch of HP’s Professional Print Service Plans—important because they are designed to support PSPs on aggressively scaling up operations and growing their business with more flexible and versatile print capabilities.

As print service providers continue evolving as well as adapting to changing market dynamics and demand, efficiency and agility are always at the forefront of new business strategies and goals. HP Professional Print Service Plans (available in Basic and Plus) have been designed to support PSPs with end-to-end solutions and services. Offerings of both versions include remote support, remote workflow monitoring, data analytics, smart diagnostics, and a digital learning platform with free training modules.

The HP Latex 2700

The HP Latex 2700 portfolio includes four configurations: the Latex 2700, 2700 W, 2700 Plus, and 2700 W Plus, all of which run on the same water-based HP Latex inks that are environmentally certified and operator-safe. The printers also use HP’s signature Eco-Carton ink cartridges, which are sustainably sourced and made from 100% recycled cardboard materials and closed-loop recycled plastics. HP says the series employs automatic color calibration to ensure color accuracy, consistency, and vibrancy while minimizing waste. Enhanced white ink capabilities (2700 W/2700 W Plus) and versatile media compatibility provide outstanding output quality on a wider range of print jobs and applications.

“To reach higher profit margins, PSPs are always on the hunt for efficiency gains, and the technology that allows them to say yes to more jobs with the confidence to deliver exceptional results,” stated Daniel Martinez, General Manager of HP Large Format. “Our latest offerings are designed to enable this. The HP Latex 2700 family delivers increased print quality, raw speed, and white ink capabilities that will amaze customers.”
