Epson is back at it again with the latest version of their print management solution, Epson Print Admin 4 (EPA 4). Compatible with all current EPA compatible devices, EPA 4 is a secure, server-based solution that sets out to help businesses improve their output management in an increasingly digital market by supporting capture and workflow requirements.
What we’re really excited about with EPA 4 are the features that come along with its Advanced Workflow licenses, which are designed around the ever-growing digitalization of work environments. EPA 4’s customizable Advanced Workflow features include personalized job profiles, defined optical character recognition (OCR) functionality in 29 languages, document separation, automatic document naming, high compression, document routing, and folder creation. However, the Advanced Workflow features are optional additions if you already have the main version of the solution.
Much of the current version of the solution should be familiar to those who have previously used EPA to handle jobs. Key functions making a return in EPA 4 include the availability to securely execute print, scan, and copy jobs by means of card readers and passwords; pull printing; sending scanned documents directly to e-mails, file transfer protocols, and folders; as well as lightweight directory access protocol synchronization.
There is one license per device (as well as bundles of one license) to use this solution, and anyone interested in trying out EPA 4 can sign up for a free 90-day trial.
Keypoint Intelligence has previously published a report on EPA 3, which can be found on bliQ. Take the time to learn more about Epson Print Admin 4 here.
