Konica Minolta Europe Launches Its First Home Office Devices

Konica Minolta has recently announced the introduction of two new A4 color home office devices: the bizhub C3120i MFP and the bizhub C3100i printer. Recognizing that the pandemic has caused the home to become a place for work or study, the company has made its first move into the home office market.

Both devices are lightweight and have a small footprint of just 41 cm x 43cm, making them an easy fit for any home office desk. The control panel tilts to a vertical position, making it easy to operate while sitting at a desk. Simple and quick installation, configuration, and operation is offered to the home user, with the ability to save preferred settings for quick and easy access.

Flexible mobile device access is provided with Android (Mopria) and iOS (AirPrint) as well as NFC tap-to-print/scan. The dedicated Mobile Print app can be used to print, scan, copy, and fax from a smartphone or tablet. Print from USB functionality also provides handy previews of files so that you can quickly get the file you want with the use of a PC or mobile device.

An embedded deskew feature enables users to adjust photos of documents taken with their smartphone—a handy feature for getting those expense receipts in—as well as ensuring professional file sharing for those who prefer to use their mobile instead of scanning. And both devices have a Blue Angel Mark and have a TEC Value of 0.38 kWh/week, which means that the devices consume very little energy.

Keypoint Intelligence Opinion

These first compact home office devices from Konica Minolta clearly recognize the shift to home working and provide high flexible functionality. We look forward to reviewing these devices in our labs.
