The story of Milner is rooted in the simple yet powerful idea of people making a difference. This has been the not-so-secret sauce of success since the company was founded in 1987, and there are no signs that things will change anytime soon. Why would it, after all? Milner has established itself as one of the largest full-scale technology service providers in the United States (within the traditional print industry) and is one of 18 mega dealers in the US (those with excess of $100 million in annual revenue).

Keypoint Intelligence had the great pleasure of hosting Milner’s Tom McMahon, President and General Manager, and Juan Santos, Regional Sales Director, during their recent swing through the New York metropolitan area. The three hours they spent in our Fairfield, NJ headquarters were filled with a lab tour and stellar conversation (print and otherwise)—let’s not forget the sweet aroma of Jersey bagels and local pastries, either.

But the main purpose was to record a podcast. McMahon, who has led the organization for a year and a half and has spearheaded activities like the streamlining of processes and systems, spoke about the people of Milner in general but, more specifically, the sales team. The business development-minded Santos offered details on the managed IT services front mostly from the perspective of his home turf in Florida, though the mega dealer has clients in several parts of the country aside from the Southeast.

There were plenty of other talking points, including the reasons why Milner has had a steady climb over the years even through the COVID-19 pandemic. To boot, the in-person recording session helped bring out the energy even more.
