Canon Expands Use of Recycled Steel to Boost Sustainability
In 2025, Canon plans to integrate electric furnace steel sheets—made from recycled scrap—into select printing products. This sustainability initiative applies to office MFPs, home inkjet printers, large format inkjet printers, and commercial presses, with a gradual expansion planned. The move reduces CO2 emissions and supports Canon’s targets of a 50% recycling rate by 2030 and net-zero emissions by 2050.
