Long before his most recent hot streak, David Sweetnam has been known to many of us here at Keypoint Intelligence as this mad scientist of sorts. Like a Dr. Bunson Honeydew of print—only things don’t blow up when he’s in the lab. And because we happen to operate testing facilities on opposite sides of the pond, the metaphor is even more apropos.
David has been chosen as a Difference Maker by ENX Magazine. We might be biased, but his growing list of accomplishments makes this a well-deserved and -earned accolade. You see, what our Director of EMEA/APAC Lab & Research Services has been cooking up for customers on the testing front is impressive. One thing I appreciate about him is that while David may dream big, he prefers to keep it real by thinking big and then going out and executing.
David Sweetnam, Director of EMEA/APAC Lab & Research Services, is the third current Keypoint Intelligence employee to be named an ENX Difference Maker. |
Many moons ago, David was the driving force when we expanded our testing capabilities to production and wide format devices, devising the methodology for both. He has negotiated, managed, and, many times, performed the testing as well as written the reports for custom projects in these areas over the years. More recently, Keypoint Intelligence’s Certification Programs for High-Volume Production Reliability and Remanufactured Hardware are the products of his can-do attitude.
Since 2023, he has been spearheading our latest private and public testing initiative that is primarily with direct-to-film (DTF) gear but a little on the direct-to-garment (DTG) side, too. He helped Keypoint issue its inaugural DTF Pick Awards this past January and has trumpeted the importance of DTF product testing in several publications (see list below). In short, David has literally built something from nothing and shows no sign of slowing the momentum he has.
“It is a great honor to be chosen as an ENX Difference Maker and be listed among so many illustrious people,” David said. “This industry continues to be a rollercoaster and it is a great ride. Many thanks to Erik Cagle and the team at ENX Magazine, my colleagues at Keypoint Intelligence who make my job so enjoyable, and, of course, those who nominated me.”
David joins our very own Pete Emory (Class of ’16) and Randy Dazo (Class of ’23) in the ENX Difference Maker club—and Keypoint Intelligence could not be happier for him!
