Our annual look into vendor financials is one of the most popular deliverables we publish to the InfoCenter. The comprehensive offering evaluates the financial health and strategic direction of 19 major manufacturers operating in the global office and production equipment sectors.

The Full Year 2024 Vendor Financials report has been posted.

Covering the 2024 fiscal year (FY) to the end of March 2025 (FYs vary by company), the analysis provides insight into revenue and profitability trends, along with commentary on market dynamics, restructuring activity, and strategies around mergers and acquisitions (M&A).

For vendors that do not publicly report financial performance, we substitute revenue and profit information with data from our single-function printer and multifunctional peripheral (MFP) placements, as well as market share estimates. Here are a few high-level findings from our latest financial review:

  • Despite ongoing uncertainty, many vendors saw stable or growing revenue across their print-focused businesses. Gains were often driven by resilient demand in core segments and signs of renewed investment in office and production environments.
  • Operating profit was a mixed picture, with less than half of the companies seeing a year-over-year (YOY) increase. While not universal, this trend signals a sector in recalibration rather than retreat.
  • Many vendors continued to pursue structural reforms, consolidating operations, and investing in workflow optimization. This reflects a maturing market, where leaner models and strategic shifts are essential to staying competitive.
  • Strategic acquisitions, partnerships, and divestitures continue to reshape the vendor landscape.

Amid persistent geopolitical tensions, tariffs, and regional conflicts, the global socio-economic landscape remains highly volatile—making accurate forecasting more challenging than ever. Even so, our analysis reveals notable trends in growth, profit recovery, and strategic pivoting.

If you’re interested in the fiscal health of the major workplace and production industry players, this is a must-read publication!
