Novatech’s ability to adopt and adapt to new technology is what has kept its Managed Office strategy fresh and relevant after many years. It’s proven to be a big-time boon to the mega dealer, as the print and the managed IT services sides work together and independently to achieve results. Other dealers have a similar offering with a name behind it as well, but I wonder how many channel members are growing in this space at 12%-14% a year…

Dave Moorman, who is now Special Advisor to Novatech, has spoken with me a few times over the years about the Managed Office. Always transparent, he’s passionate about the technical details of literally everything, but makes it understandable through simple analogies. And with his expertise in managed IT services (MITS), there’s no doubt he’s taught many people in the print and smart technology space a thing or two about, say, cybersecurity.

Perpetual Capital Partners—a family office, not private equity—acquired Novatech in September 2024. A month later, Novatech hosted its first-ever customer event at Mercedes-Benz Stadium to overall praise. Dave and I spoke about both these topics, along with a Managed Office roadmap that includes artificial intelligence (AI), or what he says is “the most important invention since electricity.”

When Dave speaks, I listen. He’s got good education to share. It can help you, too.
