Robotics are gaining in use among many different industries. We’ve all heard about robots being used in factories and for manufacturing purposes, but with advances in artificial intelligence (AI) and other smart technologies, it’s only a matter of time before robots become more widespread in other markets.

 

While robots have been in use for manufacturing since the 1990s, they are often utilized for repetitive tasks or ones that would be too dangerous for human workers to perform. This common usage for robotics is still being utilized in many factories today, from cars to Legos. But just because that’s how robots have been used up until this point, doesn’t mean that they will stay that way…

While human employees will never be replaced fully, there are just some jobs that are better suited for robotics—mainly the ones that are repetitive and require exacting precision. After how AI has grown in use across a variety of industries, it’s almost a given that advancements in robotics will come and we’ll find ourselves in the sci-fi future that we often depict in shows and movies.
