Labelexpo Americas 2022, which takes place September 13-15 in Chicago, will be a huge event for the industry, but for Konica Minolta it will be a momentous occasion: The company will debut its new label press. The unveiling of the AccurioLabel 400, a five-color digital label press, is already creating a buzz because of the opportunities it can offer for label printers of all sizes. This innovative technology will be a creative game-changer, thanks to new features such as a fifth color station, advanced color management, white toner capabilities, automated controls, and expanded label applications.

He cited the device’s ability to run longer jobs and its on-the-fly color management as two strong points, while adding that investing in the technology will allow customers to leverage the advanced technology and increased productivity of the press.

The new offerings will enable longer runs at lowered operating costs, doubled printing speed, and added white capabilities, according to Konica Minolta. One of the most exciting improvements is the addition of the company’s flagship IQ-520 color management technology to the new labeling presses to ensure best color quality and consistency.
Konica Minolta is also planning to announce the launch of its PKG-1300 full-color digital packaging press, with a water-based pigment ink that is safe for food and cosmetic applications.
These forthcoming launches are representative of the kinetic momentum that Konica Minolta is enjoying as the company embraces a new era in the labeling space. As Pagliarello says, “We’re adding a whole layer of capability we haven’t had on the label side of the business until now,” which will no doubt continue to accelerate Konica Minolta’s growth and carve new paths in the digital labeling and packaging markets.
