As conversations around sustainability continue to shift from aspiration to action, The Recycler Live serves as one of the print industry’s most dynamic platforms for meaningful dialogue. Keypoint Intelligence is honored to once again participate in this premier event, returning with valuable market insight, expanded programs, and an unwavering commitment to helping advance the circular economy.

This year’s event invites attendees to kick things off May 13th in Tallinn, Estonia with a different kind of drive—on the golf course. That’s right: The Recycler Live 2025 begins with a golf day at Rae Golf, offering a relaxed tee-off before the hard-hitting panels and policy discussions begin. Because what better way to warm up for circular economy strategy talks than by perfecting your swing?

Looking Back: Keypoint Intelligence at The Recycler Live 2024

Held in May 2024, The Recycler Live brought together over 95 delegates from across the remanufacturing, print, and sustainability sectors. Organized in partnership with the European Toner & Inkjet Remanufacturers Association (ETIRA), the 2024 conference put critical developments front and center—none more prominent than the EU’s proposed Ecodesign regulation. These legislative proposals, including right-to-repair requirements and new labeling schemes, stirred debate around compliance, innovation, and competitiveness in the aftermarket. Keypoint Intelligence played a prominent role in the agenda, with our own Peter Mayhew and Deborah Hawkins delivering a presentation on the latest market trends.

What to Expect in Tallinn?

At this year’s conference, Keypoint Intelligence will be offering insight from a recent research study along with other initiatives designed to support circularity in the print industry. We’re excited to discuss our Print in Your Lifestyle survey published at the end of 2024, which examines how consumer behavior, hardware utilization, and sustainability preferences are reshaping the home printing landscape. The survey shines a spotlight on those who print at home for both personal and professional applications, the kinds of documents they’re printing, and even whether or not they consider printing to be an essential part of their lifestyles—a topic particularly relevant in the post-pandemic era of today.

In addition, we’ll be formally launching our new Remanufactured/Refurbished Facility Certification Program, developed to help remanufacturers demonstrate consistent, third party-verified excellence. Covering up to 10 engine families, the program evaluates build quality, image output, data security, and reliability—offering a facility-level accreditation that aligns with EU expectations and buyer demands alike.

We’ll also be talking through our Remanufactured Supplies Testing Program, which certifies toner cartridges based on rigorous OEM yield benchmarking and performance testing. Both programs support vendors in building trust, gaining market visibility, and ensuring compliance as regulatory and procurement standards evolve. Whether you’re an OEM looking to refine your sustainability messaging, a reseller evaluating new suppliers, or a policymaker curious about third-party verification, these certification frameworks offer meaningful value.

Keypoint Intelligence Opinion
With its forward-looking agenda and collaborative tone, the 2024 edition of The Recycler Live made it clear: Aligning environmental goals with commercial strategy is essential. Full stop. And the conversations that took place in Brussels laid the foundation for the work that will continue this year in Tallinn. Forums like The Recycler Live are vital for collaboration, accountability, and innovation—and Keypoint Intelligence is proud to continue contributing to these conversations, sharing our insights, and listening to other’s.
