Appealing to the needs of the small business owner, HP launched print bundles that include a range of hardware, software, and an update to its subscription consumables service to cater specifically to their printing requirements. An interlinking solution, the new LaserJet 3000 and 4000 devices, Smart Admin Dashboard on HP+, and Instant Ink availability for small businesses work in conjunction with one another to provide a comprehensive and automated printing experience.

HP’s Instant Ink offering now delivers toner to small businesses for multiple printers and locations, and includes everything on one bill to streamline administration. The new Ink solution is HP’s response to the growing need for automation around supplies, helping subscribers without a larger company headcount save time, money, and increase their productivity. All devices are cloud connected and can be managed via a single dashboard called the Smart Admin dashboard for easy onboarding and offboarding of users in the fleet. Other features that will appeal to the small business owner include enhanced Wolf security and HP+ with dedicated support and warranty.
To support the need for automation, the new LaserJet Pro series can detect when the device is low on toner and automatically order the required supplies. The order is then delivered at the correct location and at the correct time with consolidated billing. Small business owners are also able to manage their device (or fleet of devices) more easily from the Smart Admin Dashboard regardless of whether the device is registered for Instant Ink or not.

Keypoint Intelligence Opinion
Rather than trying to reinvent the wheel when it comes to realigning their small business offering, HP has taken an existing model and adapted it to better suit the needs of small business owners who are often plagued by having no dedicated IT team, which means owners must do everything themselves without being specialists. More automation, greater ease of use, and all without losing the high-quality output are stipulations that small businesses need when time is tight and expertise is not always to hand. HP’s new offering attempts to cover the trifecta of hardware, software, and consumables in making small business owner’s lives easier. Let’s see how it’s received in the marketplace.
