Cybersecurity and managed IT services (MITS) are great conversation starters for dealers with prospective clients. Artificial intelligence (AI) is—at this moment in time, no debate—the dominant topic in business. But there’s another pretty darn important subject that keeps coming up in my discussions with dealers, over the last year especially:

Marketing.

It’s something many in the channel admit they don’t do well, or well enough. Dealers are smart people. Sure, some may be more limited than others but, in general, they see the way the world is moving and understand they need to place more emphasis on marketing in all its many forms. Even those that already have effective marketing strategies with well-designed campaigns know the ceiling can always be higher.

I’m not going to sit here and pretend that the five strategies we’re presenting in this blog are profound. Hardly. But are you doing each of these things and, more importantly, how well are you doing them? Goes without saying that something like “creating leads and converting them to customers” might be more of a holy grail for more than just dealers, but that topic would likely take multiple infographics.

This is foundational stuff. And I promise you: There won’t be a quiz.
