The all new HP Color LaserJet series devices use what HP refers to as its next generation sustainable toner. HP claims that TerraJet toner delivers up to 27% reduced energy use and up to 78% less plastic in the packaging, while delivering sharper detail with up to 20% more printable colors.
Keypoint Intelligence Opinion
This new A4 lineup offers desktop MFPs and printers for remote workers and the small business market with the HP Color LaserJet 4200/4300, and productive enterprise devices at a lower price point than typical A3 devices with the HP Color LaserJet Enterprise 5000/6000 and X500/X600. The latter series complements the E700 and E800 A3 lineup that were launched in Q3 2022, bringing many of the same features: high-speed scanning (up to 160 ipm) as well as a host of highly productive scan features to increase edit and send efficiency; modular scalability including speed license upgrades that can be provided at the outset or mid-cycle for increased longevity and a more sustainable device; fast service maintenance times; and they are the first HP A4 devices to offer finishing.
There are some interesting claims surrounding TerraJet toner technology for reduced energy usage and reduced plastic (both in the toner cartridge and packaging) resulting from the smaller cartridges, as well as improved color image quality. Our very own Peter Mayhew, Principal Analyst covering supplies, said, “Terrajet technology represents a positive statement and commitment from HP, both in terms of toner performance and sustainability.”
I could not have said it better myself.
