Deborah Hawkins knows the market for workplace technology and has helped build Office Group practice areas here at Keypoint Intelligence (and its predecessors) for 20 years. She has conducted research, studied trends, and spoken with hundreds of print industry reps, execs, and otherwise. Her journey has taken her down the paths of A3 and A4 print, scanning and digital transformation (DX), the aftermarket, and a little on the software solutions side. Since the COVID-19 pandemic hit, she has added expertise on managed IT/cloud services and smart technology to her ever-growing list of subject areas.
That is just one of the many reasons why Deborah was recently elected to the Managed Print Services Association (MPSA) Board of Directors.
Her knowledge of Europe—she is from the UK, has lived in Germany for years—will undoubtedly play a key role during her term with the MPSA. We here in the United States sadly lose sight of what is happening across the pond, and that landscape is sometimes more intriguing to discuss given all the differences from country to country. Deborah is quick with the European-based stats or observations in conversation, especially when it comes to one of her passions: Sustainability. I am sure this is a much-discussed topic in the MPSA.
Oftentimes, you cannot fully understand a person’s intangibles unless you work with them in the same company. Deborah is a born leader, speaker, and storyteller who is well versed on many fronts and articulates the key points with aplomb. She truly values her team and ensures they get the support and encouragement they need along the way. With a unique brand of professionalism mixed with smart humor, Deborah has a great composition for a public-facing role.
