The hype around artificial intelligence (AI) has been fierce. Many people might even be nauseated by it. And, in fact, were you aware that “AI washing” has already entered our lexicon? All that notwithstanding, I bet some of you have had conversation about AI and then done something with it to pretty good results.
Two months ago, I read a quick article on how the hype around artificial intelligence had seemingly met a dose of reality. Stocks on Wall Street were cooling, in part, due to a more bearish perspective on AI. So, who do you think was the first person I wanted an opinion from? That’s right: Anne Valaitis, Keypoint Intelligence’s Principal Analyst of Artificial Intelligence and my podcast partner in crime.
Once we were just a couple of minutes into our conversation, it was apparent that we had the start of our next episode. It’s critical to put things in context, and Anne is especially good at it. Her response positioned artificial intelligence within the technology lifecycle, and dealers around the globe need to keep it in mind when making decisions around AI—be it strategizing, implementing, or (sooner than you know it) selling it. Remember: People didn’t exactly migrate to the cloud as fast as Road Runner can run at the time this newfound adoption was the hot topic.
Keypoint is still very much at the start of what we know will be a long journey with artificial intelligence. As we’ve made a habit of in 2024, Anne and I look at our latest activity with all things AI, including a series of webinars, where we’re at with our research into the tech, as well as recent discoveries we’ve made at Keypoint Intelligence that are helping us be more efficient and productive.
